Technical surveillance counter-measures (TSCM) – bug sweep
You think any self-alleging TSCM specialist is the same? Bug sweep is a subspecialty.
Check if their bug sweep operations cover:-
• Detect and locate transmitting devices. AKA bug sweep core
• Checks environment for hidden phone or room bugs; video transmitters; pulsed tracking transmitters; remote control, frequency-hopping, spread-spectrum and burst devices up to 3GHz.
• Detect bugs that use AC wiring (or other miscellaneous wiring like telephone, burglar alarm, thermostat wiring et.) as a transmission path.
• Detect Broadband microwave energy between 2GHz and 12 GHz, including frequencies used for wireless networks and many cordless phones.
• Detect and isolate ‘treat’ transmissions from legitimate broadcast transmissions.
• Detect infrared transmissions.
• Detect carrier current devices, tape recorders and video cameras.
• Conduct tests on each pair of conductors in telephone and network cables or carrier current or audio transmissions.
• Conduct checks on any kind of wiring (not just wall outlets) for carrier current devices.
• Detect and evaluate area vulnerable to acoustic leakage.
• Detect suspicious equipment that has an acoustic noise masking system.
